Bountiful Land to be Developed

After a recent Bountiful City Council meeting, it became official. One of the largest pieces of the city's vacant land at 550 North and 400 East is going to be developed into homes.

Many nearby residents have mixed emotions about the coming changes.

They have seen many vegetables grown, ball games played, hide & seek games, Easter egg hunts, go kart races, tote-goat mishaps, snowball fights, boat races in Stone Creek, hide outs from vigilantes unknown, skateboarding in the concrete pipe that lead to the creek, used it as an outdoor photo studio, a shortcut to and from school, a swimming hole for cooling off on hot summer days and many, many more youthful adventures.

Many residents had hoped it would be turned into a park. But perhaps now with new homes being built and new flowers planted, Bountiful's deer population will have “new” items to feast on before heading into nearby vegetable gardens!!
